Looking for the Best Prices on a New Chevrolet Avalanche 1500?
Try the WhyPaySticker.com Way and Save Some Real Money
The Old-Fashioned Way
1. You can't leave. You're pressured to buy the car today, without the chance to comparison shop.
2. Endless negotiation. You're stuck for hours going head-to-head with a salesman.
3. You're overwhelmed by numbers. APRs, fees, payment schedules—you have to sign right away and there's no time to think.
Our Dealer Network
We generate millions of dollars in sales each month for the dealers. By using our website as the middleman, you can save hundreds of dollars on your purchase. Why do dealers work with us then? Because of the 50,000 cars sold each day, fewer than 500 are sold through our network. That’s a drop in the bucket for the car dealers, but a bottom line price quote for you.
In addition, we'll show you any available manufacturer Rebates & Incentives for your new car.
The Back Door to Savings
A dealership’s Internet department prices its vehicles to maximize the number of cars it sells, not the profit per car. Manufacturers decide the allocation of vehicles and dealer perks on the basis of a dealership's volume.
Coming in through the "back door" levels the playing field for your negotiation and tells the dealer that you have done your research, that you know about rebates, hold-backs, multiple price quotes and all the tricks of the trade.
When you deal with our contacts in the Internet department, you get a firm price quote, and oftentimes the paper work is already prepared when you walk into the dealership.
Depending on your location, sometimes the dealer will bring the car to you at your home or office for a test drive, walk-around, and ultimately delivery.
We keep referring customers to friendly Internet Sales Managers, and they keep selling cars at incredibly low prices.
The WhyPaySticker.com Way
1. Start from the comfort of home. It's so easy with free, no-obligation Internet price quotes from Accredited Dealers.
2. Make dealers compete. You know you'll get the best price with competitive bids from multiple dealers.
3. Finalize the numbers on your terms. Finish your negotiations on your time, then go to the dealership to pick up your new car.
New 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 Overview
Vehicle Overview
Chevrolet proved the midgate design, which offers the best of a pickup truck and SUV, can be extremely popular. Since its inception in 2002, the Avalanche has been one of the more versatile trucks, with the ability to extend its cargo bed from slightly more than five feet to a total of eight feet. Its standard 5.3-liter V-8 engine makes 320 horsepower, and the Avalanche can seat up to six people.
The Avalanche is available in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels. An available ZR1 Off-Road Package includes monotube shock absorbers, 18-inch wheels, color-matched fender flares, skid plates, tubular assist steps and a high-capacity air cleaner.
New for 2012
LTZ models add a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel while LT versions gain heated seats. The Avalanche's standard electronic stability system now features electronic trailer-sway control and hill start assist. A new stereo with a 30-gigabyte hard drive, navigation system, a 7-inch touch-screen, recording capability and a USB port is available.
Exterior
The Avalanche doesn't mind flaunting its split personality. It's neither an SUV nor a pickup — it's both. It has the bold but familiar front-end styling found on Chevy's truck-based models. Setting the Avalanche apart are distinctive sails that connect the cab to the bed and emphasize the smooth roofline and exterior length. The only real problem with the design is rearward visibility. Parking and backing up in tight spots can be tough, so the available parking sensors and backup camera are invaluable. Exterior features include:
- Standard 17-inch wheels; 18- or 20-inch wheels available
- Wraparound front bumper cover blends nicely with body, Available power-articulating running boards
Interior
If the Avalanche shines in any category, it's the style and amenities of the interior. The truck can hold up to six people. Cloth upholstery is standard, and leather is optional. Interior features include:
- Midgate design allows for extended cargo capacity, Standard air conditioning
- Standard CD stereo, Standard Bluetooth cellphone connectivity
- Available heated and cooled seats
- Available remote start
Under the Hood
The Avalanche is powered by a 320-hp, 5.3-liter V-8 that makes 335 pounds-feet of torque. Mechanical features include:
- Standard six-speed automatic transmission
- V-8 runs on regular gas or E85 ethanol
- Rear- or four-wheel drive
Safety
- Side-impact airbags for the front seats, Side curtain airbags
- All-disc antilock brakes, Electronic stability system
